Incomplete applications and/or applications received after the closing date will not be considered.

Eligibility Questions

Are you a micro, small or medium business? * Required
Response required.
If NO, you are not eligible for an Economic Development Grant.
Do you have an ABN? * Required
If NO, you are not eligible for an Economic Development Grant
 

If you are not located within the City of Cockburn local government area, the project or initiative must demonstrate a clear link and direct impact on the City of Cockburn's strategies and objectives, for example: the local economy outcomes of the Strategic Community Plan 2025-2035.

Word count:
Must be no more than 150 words. Please identify and demonstrate how your project or initiative provides a clear link to, and direct impact on the City of Cockburn's strategy and objectives.
Do you have all appropriate insurances and licenses to operate your business? * Required
If NO, you are not eligible for an Economic Development Grant
Is your business financially viable?
All applications must provide a recent bank statement.
Does your organisation have the capacity to undertake all the required planning, permits and approvals processes, marketing and promotion to ensure the success of your project? * Required
Will your project be completed by 28 February 2027? * Required
Projects are required to be completed and acquitted by 28 February 2027
Does your business have appropriate insurance for this particular project?
For example: volunteers, professional indemnity, public liability.
 

If you answered NO to any of the above Eligibility Questions, you may not be eligible for funding and should contact the Economic Development Officer on (08) 9411 3444 before proceeding with this application.

Previous Funding

Please note as per current Policy:

An applicant may apply for funding from a maximum of two different categories per financial year.

This funding can be granted from either of the following:

Applications cannot be for the same project.

Applicants that have been successful in previous years are eligible to apply provided all previous funding has been satisfactorily acquitted, and cannot apply for projects or activities that have previously received funding.

Has your organisation previously received funding from the City of Cockburn? * Required
All previous grant funds must have been satisfactorily acquitted to be eligible to apply for funding.
Word count:
Must be no more than 100 words. Please include grant reference number, date of application, category of funding, project title and amount.
Does your organisation have any outstanding City of Cockburn acquittal reports? * Required
Applicants that have been successful in previous years are eligible to apply provided all previous funding (Grants and Sponsorship) has been satisfactorily acquitted. Acquitted means you have provided a detailed report of how the funding was used, including providing receipts and evidence such as photos or media, using the appropriate Acquittal Form.
